We’re having our second annual spaghetti dinner. It will be held on Thursday, Sept 24th at the Dunmore Community Center from 4-7pm. Takeouts will be available. Please contact Sal at 344-0946 if you would like to join us. Last year was a great success. Many great items will be raffled off!

Next meeting is August 8th with a presentation by Salvatore Mecca and Anthony Ranella on the Gravity Railroad. The time is 2pm. Come join us and sign up for your membership if you like.

Hopefully, we’ll get a payment processing option online for memberships in the near future.

A presentation on the Pennsylvania Coal Company Gravity Railroad with select artifacts will be held at the Church. Speaking will be Salvatore Mecca and Tony Ranella, members of our Executive Board and longtime railfans.

The Dunmore High School Crimson Company is presenting Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I must say that THIS IS my all time favorite play now. A stage full of energetic and talented kids (I hesitate to call them kids…they are that good). Running tonight and April 2-4 at 7pm at Dunmore High School. If possible, get there.

So I tried out a new service and pulled together all four of first year newsletters (2008). I did this mostly to see what options are out there for us and to preserve a copy. The magazine came out very nice. Cost is high with this many pages so it’s not something we will put out there regularly but I will post so you get a miniature glimpse of our newsletter until I can post one here. Clicking on it will bring you to another page where you can browse through it. Use your back button to come back here. Keep in mind, with membership you have the newsletter mailed to you at least 4 times a year. Quite frankly, your memberships are necessary to keep us afloat and hopefully find a permanent home someday soon.
